Ken Caminiti died of a heart attack at age 41. The 1996 Major League Baseball National League's Most Valuable Player, Caminiti lost his career to his inability to control an addictive personality. He was partly responsible for popularizing weightlifting among baseball pros in the 1990s, and was the first baseball pro baseball to admit he used anabolic steroids while playing.

Pasquale Grieco placed 8th in lightweights at the NPC Nationals in Dallas on November 20th.
He was one of several competitors at the NPC Nationals this year who also competed
